COLUMBUS, Neb. - With farmers in the midst of their harvest season, one utility company has a reminder. The Nebraska Public Power District says farmers need to be aware of utility polls when their driving their machinery around.
NPPD Media Relations Specialist Grant Otten told KXCV/KRNW that they're concerned because they had several incidents of equipment hitting powerlines in the Spring.
NPPD encourages residents farmers to keep their machines at least 20 feet away from powerlines to avoid the possibility of an accident.
